He left that job five years ago and started making these chips
Using remote control is easily traceable, because the police simply looked for
the remote of the chip. He sold these chips to petrol pump owners.Different chip
modelsIn UP, the accused used chips with remote control while in Maharashtra,
they used a three digit code to give commands.
His family did not know about his
business. Shetey is now under the scanner of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh
police for fabricating and selling ‘cheat chips’ that rigged fuel stations,
giving 300 ml fuel less for every 5 litre.Shetey, who was earlier arrested by
the UP police is currently in the custody of Thane police till Saturday. "Shetey
has sold thousands of chips all over India. Shetey was arrested for selling
cheat chips to UP-based suspect, Ajay Chaurasia. Later, he would get calls from
all over India to make these chips for new oil pumps,†said a source.
He left
that job five years ago and started making these chips.Shetey, who was earlier
arrested by the UP police is currently in the custody of Thane police till
Saturday. Example: If a customer sought one litre petrol, they ended up getting
only 940 ml or less.â€Shetey, was arrested from Dombivali. Earlier, he sold a
chip for Rs 3,000 but then hiked the price to Rs 50,000. He would make one chip
in three days. Mumbai: It is rather ironic that Vivek Shetey (43), an accused in
the petrol pump cheat chips scam, worked in an oil company for four years
creating hardware to detect and prevent manipulation of fuel dispensing
machines. It gives command to the pulsar cards, a circuit, that they were
attached to the petrol-dispensing machine. He got this idea when he was working
with an oil company few years ago.Consequently, the three-digit code model was
innovated. He did not employ anyone.
Shetey, an electronic post-graduate, is
accused of selling over 1,000 cheat chips to men associated with fuel stations
in UP and Maharashtra,†said police sources. We will get details of other chips
makers who are involve in it. He manufactured the chips at his home and office
in Dombivali’s Nilje village. Initially, he approached petrol pump owners. He is
an electronics post-graduate who manufactured the chips at his workshop and
allegedly sold each chip for Rs 50,000 to accused in UP.. Once this code is
entered, the machine dispenses less petrol. He has been doing this work for the
past blown
film extruders Suppliers few years. The cheat chips rigged fuel stations,
giving 300ml fuel less for every 5 litre.Crime branch deputy commissioner of

The state usually gets 600 mw power from the central grid which is also not
available at present, putting it in more trouble. Meanwhile, the functional sets
of Ratan India and Adani are not generating power to their full potential. The
government has been supplying power to agriculture pumps between 1 am and 7 am
to facilitate even distribution of power supply.Meanwhile, the state government
has no plans to buy "costly†power from co-generation units of co-operative
sugar mills. Also, power generation at a few places in the state has been shut
down due to technical difficulties, further worsening the situation.
There is
around 2,000mw higher demand as compared to last year, with 1,500 mw
load-shedding in the state. The state has exhausted its water share of Koyna,
which is the biggest source of hydro-electricity in Maharashtra. At present, the
state needs 18,000mw to 18,500mw power supply with the growing heat, said an
officialfrom MAHAGENCO (Maharashtra State Power Generation Company).. Demand for
power has caused a 3,000mw shortage. Mumbai: Owing to the rise in temperature,
demand for power has increased, causing a 3,000mw shortage and forcing the
government to start load-shedding in rural areas.Maharashtra has claim over 62.
However, the water level has drastically gone down and no generation is
possible, the official said.
In a statement issued, Mahavitaran, a public sector
undertaking controlled by the state government, has attributed the 1,500mw
need-based load-shedding to the rise in demand for power and shortfall in its
availability.Mahavitaran said that it has been making all-out efforts to make
power available through power exchange and power banking systems to end the
current load-shedding. The state, which boasted a power surplus till China
blown film extruders Factory a few months ago, has now come under criticism
for shortage of power.Govt has no plans to buy power from co-generation units of
co-operative sugar mills.
There is a power deficit of 4,000mw due to the closure
of eight units because of technical reasons, leading to load-shedding across the
state. The sets closed due to technical difficulties include Khaparkheda
(210mw), Koradi (660mw), Parli (250mw), Adani (660mw) and Ratan India (two sets
of 270mw).7 tmc of the Koyna’s water from which hydro-power is generated
